How It All Started - The Origin Story

The idea and concept of The BRIG Company has been in secret incubation for since 2022, although the original vision was given in 2018.

While conducting individual counseling sessions, I started feeling as if there was something missing. As though I wasn’t doing all that I could to assist my clients when they would talk about the things they needed. Honestly, I started to doubt my own counseling abilities.

But then came a second wind and I eventually remembered why I became a counselor.

Not to sit at a desk! Not to settle for a 9-to-5 routine schedule! And most definitely not to become someone who re-teaches textbook!!!!

My mission....Our mission is to teach practical application for achieving higher level functioning that have been validated by life experiences.

Counseling works! Therapy can be an effective tool! And guess what? It’s not new technique.

It's a very old one that the systems of this world have been utilizing for a very long time.

Yes, believe it or not, we’ve all been brainwashed in some area or another without our permision

So why not give conscious consent to beneficial change that you have equal input on?

In May 2025, the non-profit called The Brokers of Resources For the Improvement of Generations Company, aka The BRIG Co. emerged from idea to formulation. We will do our best in showing how mental health, emotional well-being, and spirituality are all interconnected for achieving holistic wellness. This includes your mind, body, and soul - basically everything about you.

Most people see the MS Delta as deficient, but we see so much opportunity and a future of advancement, prosperity, and purposefulness.

In order to see the many possibilities we have, we must learn how to reframe our thoughts and behaviors so that we will not only reach our life goals but be able to responsibly maintain them.

The Mission & Purpose

We serve individuals and families that reside within the geographical landscape classified as the Mississippi Delta Region.
This includes a total of 18 counties.

The BRIG Co.'s aim is to improve the trusted delivery and pursuit of equitable care in the areas of mental health and illicit substance use.
We connect Delta residents to available resources and help make sense of complicated matters. Our approach is proactive, not reactive, in responding to both the mental and emotional health issues.
This organization stands firm on the notion that moral leadership, support, and empowerment are direct links for allowing individuals, families, organizations, and communities to achieve a better quality of life in spite of mental and emotional illnesses.
